This award recognizes a spouse whose volunteer service contributes substantially to the mission accomplishment of a Military Intelligence (MI) unit, activity, command, or staff agency. Established in 2004 by MICA in support of the MI Corps, the Golden Rose Award is not intended for recognition of a single, short-term event or contribution. It is a prestigious award to recognize volunteer service that makes a substantial contribution to the MI Corps and has a positive impact on the quality of life of soldiers and their families.
Narrator: The Golden Rose Award was established in June 2004 by the Military Intelligence Corps Association. It is intended to recognize those select individuals whose exemplary volunteer service has contributed significantly to the betterment of the Military Intelligence Corps, military intelligence community and the Army family. It singles out for recognition those few individuals who have made a difference through service. We are honored to be able to recognize (name) for (his/her) service to the Corps.
At this time, I invite presenter and award recipient to please come forward. Presenter will now present awardee with the Golden Rose Medal and Certificate.
THE GOLDEN ROSE IS THE EMBODIMENT OF LOYALTY, DEDICATION, COMMITMENT AND SERVICE ABOVE SELF. SO TOO, THESE INDIVIDUALS EMBODY THESE SAME QUALITIES AND THEREFORE REPRESENT THE VERY BEST OF THE MILITARY INTELLIGENCE CORPS. THEREFORE, THE MILITARY INTELLIGENCE CORPS ASSOCIATION ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE AMOUNT THOSE SELECT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER SERVICE TO THE MI CORPS.
